Monthly SEO services, without the package
Monthly SEO services should buy you a year of compounding work, not a fixed list of deliverables. We run every ongoing engagement as one plan for one business: the fixes that unblock growth first, then the content and links your market actually demands, and a report every month that starts with what moved and what it was worth.
What a monthly engagement with us includes
- One plan, built for you: a 90-day strategy sequenced by commercial impact, signed off before work starts.
- The work itself, in-house: technical fixes, content, links, local and AI search, in whatever mix your market needs.
- A named strategist who carries your account, not a rotating team.
- Reporting you can check: a live dashboard from day one and a monthly report that leads with outcomes.
- A 48-hour response to every confirmed Google core update.
If you are comparing SEO packages, the rest of this page explains why we don’t sell one, what you get instead, and what it has produced for clients.
What our monthly SEO services cover
The work changes month to month, because the plan does. What stays fixed is who does it and how you see it.
The work. Technical SEO comes first, because there is no point sending traffic to pages Google cannot read. Then content aimed at the searches your buyers make before they choose, links earned on real publications, local SEO where you sell by location, and AI search visibility across AI Overviews and assistants. Nothing is outsourced; if you ask who wrote a page or secured a link, we can tell you.
The oversight. Every account is reviewed internally each week, so a ranking drop or a broken template gets caught in days, not at the next report. When Google confirms a core update, we assess every account within 48 hours and tell you what it means for yours.
The report. Once a month, in plain English: what moved, what it was worth in leads or revenue where attribution allows, what is in progress, and what we are changing. If a month underperformed, the report says so and says why.
What your first year of monthly SEO looks like
The first month is mostly work you will not see in a traffic graph, and that is by design. This is the shape most of our engagements follow:
| When | What happens | What you should see |
|---|---|---|
| Weeks 1–2 | Reconnaissance: a full technical audit, competitor and keyword analysis, AI search exposure, and what organic search is worth to you | A clear picture of where you stand and what is costing you |
| Week 3 | Your 90-day strategy is agreed, with every priority and its commercial reason | A plan you can judge before any work is billed against it |
| Weeks 3–4 | Implementation starts with the quick wins: technical fixes, schema, the first content briefs and link targets | Changes shipped, each one documented |
| Month 1 | First monthly report | Outcomes first, then activity, then the next month’s plan |
| Months 2–3 | Content and links start compounding on the fixed foundation | Measurable keyword movement, usually within 60 to 90 days |
| Months 3–6 | Content clusters build topical authority; link placements accumulate | Organic traffic growth that compounds rather than spikes |
| Month 6+ | Expansion into adjacent services, locations and markets | The gap between you and competitors starts to widen |
| Months 12–18 | The full compounding effect | Organic as a primary acquisition channel, at a lower cost per customer than paid |
Anyone who promises page one in the first month is selling you something other than SEO. Our full method is set out in our process.
Why we don’t sell SEO packages
Most SEO packages are priced by counts: so many keywords tracked, so many pages optimised, so many links a month. It makes them easy to compare, and it is the wrong unit. Ten links a month is too many for a market that needs two great ones and nowhere near enough for a market where your competitors earned three hundred.
A package also decides the work before anyone has looked at your site. The tier caps effort where it is cheapest to deliver, not where it would move your revenue. That is how businesses end up a year into a monthly SEO package with green reports and no new customers.
We scope the other way round. The audit tells us what your market requires, and the plan is built from that. You can still compare us with anyone: ask each provider what they would change if your strongest competitor turned out to have ten times your links.
What ongoing SEO has produced for our clients
None of these came from a fixed monthly list. The SaaS company needed its JavaScript-rendered product pages fixed before anything else could work; by month 14 organic was its second-highest pipeline source, at $180 per customer against $1,240 from paid search. The law firm needed its practice area pages rebuilt and authority across 12 counties. The clinics needed one data aggregator corrected.
Read the SaaS case study and the law firm case study, or see all our results. Clients are anonymised for confidentiality.
The questions Google says to ask an SEO, answered
Google publishes a short list of questions to ask before you hire anyone for SEO (Google Search Central). Here are ours, in public.
- Previous work
“Can you show me examples of your previous work?”
Yes. Our case studies give the starting point, what we did and the numbers, with clients anonymised. On a call we will walk you through the ones closest to your business.
- Guidelines
“Do you follow the Google Search Essentials?”
Yes, without exception. Links are earned on real publications, content is written by people who know the subject, and nothing is outsourced to anyone we cannot hold to that standard.
- Timeframe
“What results do you expect, and when?”
Measurable movement within 60 to 90 days in most engagements, compounding growth from month three, and the strongest return between months six and twelve. We measure success in leads, pipeline and revenue by page, not rankings alone.
- Industry
“What’s your experience in my industry?”
Our published work covers legal, B2B SaaS, healthcare and home services, and we also work in financial services and e-commerce. If we have no relevant experience for yours, we will say so in the first conversation.
- Communication
“How will we communicate? Will you share every change?”
You have a named strategist, a live dashboard from day one and a monthly report. We tell you what we change on your site and why, as we do it.
How we price monthly SEO services
We don’t publish prices, because the same fee would be too much for one business and far too little for another. The question is never how much SEO costs. The question is what organic traffic is worth to your business.
Three things set the monthly fee: how competitive the searches that make you money are, how much needs fixing or building before growth can start, and how many services, locations or markets the plan covers. The free audit answers all three, and the proposal that follows shows the work, the reasoning and the fee together.
If your budget or situation is not a good fit for how we work, we will tell you in that first conversation, and often point you to what would work better. For businesses that want senior advice without ongoing delivery, our SEO consulting is the better fit.
Monthly SEO services: frequently asked questions
Do you offer SEO packages?
No. Every monthly engagement is scoped from an audit of your site and market, so the work goes where it will move revenue rather than where a tier says it should. You still get a clear scope, a 90-day plan and the monthly fee, together, in the proposal.
Is there a minimum contract?
We agree the term in the proposal, after the audit, based on what the plan needs to deliver. SEO compounds over months, so we are open about how long the work in your plan takes to pay back before you commit.
How long before monthly SEO shows results?
Most clients see measurable keyword movement within 60 to 90 days. Organic traffic growth compounds between months three and six, and the strongest return usually arrives between months six and twelve.
Can you guarantee rankings?
No, and nobody honestly can. In Google’s words, “No one can guarantee a #1 ranking on Google.” We commit to finding what holds you back, fixing it in the right order and reporting honestly on what it produces.
What is not included?
Paid advertising. We do SEO and do it in depth: technical, content, links, local and AI search. If a plan needs development work on your site, we write the tickets with full specifications for your developers, or agree who builds it in the proposal.
What do you need from us to start?
Read access to Google Search Console and Analytics, a conversation about what makes your business money, and someone who can approve changes. Read access is all the audit needs; Google itself advises against granting write access at that stage.
